Nick & Rosie

The Artisan Butcher opened its doors in 2012, and in February 2016 Nick and Rosie Roth were welcomed into the family as the brand new owners. Nick and Rosie have moved to Sydney along with their young daughter Nikeeta. They bring with them their friendly country charm, eye for detail, a passion for quality and the utmost respect for the produce. The duo have invaluable knowledge about the relationship between the farmer, stock and land with many stories to tell you about growing up in the country!

Firm believers in the farm to plate ethos, the produce is ordered in small batches to ensure freshness and is hand cut to order. No request is too small.

Nick and Rosie both have a love of fine food and cooking. All the products in store are carefully hand selected for their quality and premium ingredients.

They have incorporated some prestigious award winning Mudgee & surrounding products into the store. Your taste buds will be whisked away as if they were in Mudgee sipping wine and eating the product there!

Nick & Rosie welcome you to experience the artisan way first hand and taste the difference.

“For many people healthy & clean eating, chemical free, quality produce, free range, organic, and grass fed are terms on the top of our to-do list.  In today’s society we are constantly questioning the ingredients of our food, reading labels to check that there are no nasties added, or making sure the process in which our food is brought to us is ethical. Too often we are questioning if our meat and poultry is free range and grass fed, or chemical free. Constantly shoved in our faces are second best options due to time constraints, lack of knowledge, inexperience and availability.  At The Artisan Butcher we believe in delivering carefully researched, handpicked meat, poultry and products that have been selected for their finest of quality. Superior to anything else available, a story to tell us that what we are eating is a cut above the rest without compromising on anything! At The Artisan Butcher we want our customers to feel at home. To take away the “drag” of having to go food shopping, it should be like they just popped over to their friends house. A friendly and warm environment to buy your products, to discuss recipes, cuts of meat and uses. A place for customers to ask us how to cook their steak like they just stepped into our kitchen, while helping themselves to the variety of exceptional produce on display! We want to change the way people think about their food and the buying experiences”  –  Nick & Rosie
